Learn how to turn your kitchen and garden waste into black gold! 

Join Christy Wilhelmi for a 2-hour hands-on workshop and learn to create nutrient-rich compost for your garden.  This workshop will walk you through the process of:

  • Finding the perfect compost bin for you (including options for small spaces)
  • Choosing what to put in your compost pile
  • Selecting the best location for your bin
  • Learning how to turn, aerate and harvest your compost
  • Utilizing your compost in the garden
  • Solving compost problems

We will also be discussing Vermiculture (worm composting).  Bring your questions and curiosity, and we’ll turn them into food for your garden!

Class will be held in Mar Vista, near the cross streets of Palms and Centinela (exact address to follow after registration.)  All classes include hands-on training tailored to your needs.  Class format will include lecture, answering your questions, and of course – digging in the dirt.  You will take away a wealth of information that will leave you ready to get composting right away.  Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
